DOUG BROWN, PUBLIC MEMBER
Douglas
M. Brown was appointed to the
State Investment Council in March 2010. He
previously served on the Council in 2005 and 2006 during
his time as State Treasurer. He has also been a
member of the SIC's Private Equity Investment
Advisory Committee, and was appointed by the Governor to
lead a search for a new State Investment Officer in 2009.
Mr. Brown is
the Dean of the UNM Anderson School of management, and
is a principal in Brown and Brown Ventures, LLC.
He has previously been director for more than a dozen
for-profit companies, as well as serving on 50 different
business or volunteer boards.
